Fall Conference 2021

Please mark your calendar for Nov. 4 – 6, 2021 and join our IFLTA 2021 Fall Conference with the theme of “Reflect, Rebuild and ReimagINe”. We need to reflect on what the new normalcy was in the past year, rebuild the relationships with our students and colleagues, and reimagine our future on teaching and learning in the post-pandemic environment.

Keynote Speaker: Martina Bex

"Connecting and Reconnecting: Reflecting on what language classes have been and reimagining what they can be"

Items to Note for 2021:

  • Download the app at https://my.yapp.us/IFLTA2021 for all current information on the conference, including the proposal submission link, conference registration, hotel registration, and a tentative schedule of events. There will not be a printed paper program.

  • Lunch on both Friday and Saturday will be included, with a choice of a boxed lunch to take with you or a plated lunch in the luncheon hall. Choices will be made at registration for each meal, and cannot be changed.

  • A grab-n-go breakfast on Saturday is also included in registration.

  • Registration this year has increased to reflect similar pricing to other educator conferences in Indiana and the World Language organizations of surrounding states that host similar-sized conferences with comparable venues and timelines.

  • Decisions regarding masking and covid protocols will be made in accordance with local, state, and national guidelines closer to the event.

  • While the annual business meeting will be held during lunch on Saturday, all IFLTA awards will be given during the closing ceremony at the end of the conference later in the day.

  • Sessions and workshops will be recorded and made available to all registered attendees at the conclusion of our conference. IFLTA and our volunteers have made a significant investment and time commitment to make sure our membership can attend in-person or at-home.
