Beginning World Language Teachers Workshop • Thursday 6:00 - 9:30 p.m.
Adriana Melnyk, World Language Specialist for the Indiana Department of Education, and her team will again host this informative and popular workshop for new and pre-service teachers. Simply check the “New Teacher Workshop” option on the conference registration form; pre-registration is required. A light supper will be served during the workshop.
A Taste-Trip around the World • Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
As conference participants arrive, we will meet and greet each other over a glass of wine. Come and taste a variety of international wines and meet new colleagues in a relaxed environment.
IN-NELL Swapshop • Friday at 8:00 a.m.
Bring 75 copies of your favorite activity, and you will leave with a multitude of activities to take back to your classroom.
Language-Specific Workshops • Friday at 9:00 a.m.

This event provides a chance to see what Indiana colleges and universities can offer your students. Stop the brain drain and encourage your students to stay in Indiana! Hors d’oeuvres will be served and raffle prizes awarded, compliments of the universities.
Technology Workshop • Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
“Using Rich Internet Applications in your Classroom.” The tools to be discussed are free and incorporate cutting-edge technology for audio recording and playback, and Web 2.0 functionality for new language teaching pedagogies. This is a three-hour workshop. NOTE: In order to maximize the benefit of this workshop, participants need to bring a notebook computer with batteries. |
